Non-dairy Sour Cream

Ingredients: Makes about 16 oz

  • 1 cup raw cashews

  • 14-ounce package of silken tofu

  • 1/2 cup plain, unsweetened plant-based milk

  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice or lime juice

  • ½ tsp sea salt

  • 3 tbsp nutritional yeast (to make an alfredo sauce, use 1/2 c or more to taste, instead)

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Directions:

  • Blend all the ingredients until they are entirely smooth (If you do not have a high-speed blender, soak your cashews overnight).

  • Store in an airtight container and enjoy all week, topping your tacos, nachos, and any other dish with this delicious sour cream!
